Brand Authorization is a validation process used in Skulytics to ensure brands and distributors are correctly associated with your account. This process helps maintain data accuracy, protect brand integrity, and ensure that product information is shared only with authorized businesses. Once a brand is authorized, its products and data become available based on the approved status and applicable rules.

When Brand Authorization Is Required

Brand Authorization is required to support legal, compliance, and data governance requirements when accessing brand or distributor data in Skulytics. This process helps verify that brands are connected to legitimate businesses and ensures product data is shared in a secure and compliant way.

Required Business Information

To complete Brand Authorization, youโ€™ll need to finish setting up your business profile. This information is used to verify your account and ensure brands are correctly associated with your business.

Youโ€™ll be asked to provide the following details:

  1. Account Type
    Select the option that best describes your business:

    • Individual Retailer โ€“ for businesses managing brand authorizations for their own retail operation

    • Platform โ€“ for POS, ERP, marketplace, or software platforms managing data for multiple retail clients

  2. Business Information
    Provide basic details about your business, including:

    • Business name

    • Business address

  3. Authorized Representative
    Enter the name of the person authorized to submit Brand Authorization on behalf of the business:

    • First name

    • Last name

  4. Electronic Signature
    Complete the electronic signature to confirm that the information provided is accurate and submitted with proper authorization.

Brand Authorization Statuses

Each brand authorization request is assigned a status so you can easily track its progress. You can view these statuses directly from the Brand Authorization table.

Status

Description

Pending

The brand authorization request has been submitted and is currently under review. No action is required unless additional information is requested.

Approved

The brand authorization has been approved. Brand data is available based on the approved access and applicable rules.

Rejected

The brand authorization request was not approved. This may be due to incomplete or invalid information. You can update the details and resubmit if needed.
